In Israel, in spite the fact woman are treated differently than men, especially when it comes to religion, not being allowed to read from the Torah for example, but at the same time being drafted into the military, as it is mandatory, to serve the Israeli army (IDF) like men. A contradiction, that helps nurture, in my opinion, strong, confident Israeli women.
